Our private tutoring students schedule sessions directly with their tutor, and we can easily work around busy school and sports schedules. We can prep quickly or slowly, and we work seven days per week.

From beginning to end, the Test Geek ISEE and SSAT prep program is all about the student. Here's a snapshot of what you can look forward to:
After you register, we'll send over an intake form to the parent email you provide. That's where we learn more your student, including preferred scheduling and academic background, so we can assign the right tutor.
Based on the information we gather on the intake form, we will match the right tutor for your son or daughter. The tutor will reach out to you (or you can reach out to the tutor) to make introductions and schedule the first session at a time that is convenient for both you and your student. Sessions typically last two hours and can be held in your home or a public library.
We have our ISEE and SSAT students practice in between sessions. The workload is manageable, leaving time for them to still be kids and focus on school, but the targeted homework helps get them ready for test day. At the next session, we get to review the homework directly with your child. This is a very effective process.

Yes, absolutely. These tests cover a large range of student ages and abilities, so customization is key. Whether you have a lower level student or an upper level student trying to get into an elite private high school, our program will be personalized for what your child needs.
Most students prefer to have the sessions held in their house. In some cases, the student's house might not be possible. In those cases, public libraries work well. We prefer to not have sessions in coffee shops. Whenever you first speak with your instructor, you can discuss with him or her what you prefer. Whenever possible, we try to accomodate your house as the session location if that is your preference. In certain cases, geography may make that difficult, but we will always advise you of that upfront.
Yes! Our private tutoring program does not have a fixed schedule. It is entirely up to you and your student. Many of our students have incredibly busy schedules, and we have been able to accomodate them well in the past. Our tutors have excellent evening and weekend availability, so we can work with nearly any scheduling requirements.
You can switch up the tutor at any point for any reason. But this almost never happens as our tutors are fun, highly-qualified and professional. Fewer than 5% of Test Geek students ever request a switch.
We use the same tutors for ISEE and SSAT that we do for our SAT and ACT prep programs. After all, why wouldn't we? They are extremely bright, having scored in the top 1% on the SAT or ACT, they are college graduates, and they have gone through our rigorous teaching audition and training process.
Most of our students start their ISEE or SSAT prep between 6 and 12 weeks before their target test date, but the plan you select will determine the ideal timeline. We typically prefer doing one session per week.
